I met up with Lauren and Evan and their awesome dog Pablo at the Old Courthouse for their engagement session. We also walked around downtown London for various photo locations. I had an awesome time photographing you guys and your dog. I can't wait for your wedding, coming up at the end of April.

Their Story:

This tale is the story of how a man and woman fell in love and began a unique journey together in an old-fashioned country romance. When Nichele decided to attend a rodeo in June 2007, she never would have dreamt that she would meet the man of her dreams. That summer night was where she met Gerhardus, a Dutch dairy farmer who captured her heart from the start with his sweet accent and handsome smile. From the beginning, the pair discovered how much they had in common and how their dreams for the future fit so perfectly. Growing up on farms, they both realized the value of a rural way of life and hoped to raise a family in the country. When they discovered how well they worked together on the family farm, they began to dream of forever. Their whirlwind romance was filled with sunset tractor rides, picnics in the field and evenings beneath the stars. The proposal retained the same unique country flavour that had characterized their relationship. Convincing Nichele that he meant to take her out to dinner, Gerhardus called her to let her know that he would be working longer in the barn and wondered if she would come help. Thinking that his busy schedule had once again delayed their dinner plans, Nichele reluctantly joined him in the barn. Once there, he enlisted the help of her in folding up a 50-foot sheet of plastic from the floor. Underneath, it revealed the words "WILL YUO MARRY ME" shaped out with thousands of pieces of straw grouped together. In his haste, Gerhardus had not realized that he spelt the word "YOU" wrong! It did not matter, because when she turned around, he was down on one knee. A bottle of champagne on a straw-bale table toasted their future. As the two raised their glasses to a new life together, they knew their country values would remain in their hearts, always and forever.
